Net Returns: Marketing Businesses Discover the Internet
Horizon Air Magazine

In a round-up of the businesses pioneering on the Internet, the article profiled InfoAdvantage's leading edge approach. The following is an excerpt.

Eva Chiu, president of InfoAdvantage in Bellevue, has carved her own business niche. She researches information from worldwide sources to help businesses find new client contacts, evaluate new markets, find international trade opportunities, make new business connections and benefit from global E-mail systems.

The Department of Commerce's huge National Trade Data Bank is just one example of the growing number of government information resources that are showing up on the Internet, providing such information as foreign trade opportunities, market research reports and patent information. "Businesses are just discovering the commercial use of the Internet. We're seeing new companies and new resources added all the time. Even using the Internet to send E-mail and faxes can be a great savings," says Chiu, who will begin publishing a newsletter this fall on how to access electronic information sources, including Internet data banks.

"Business, government and private users of the Internet are changing the way people do business and research information. But you have to know where the information is stored and the search protocols for finding it," she says.
